which leg? just curious. there is a main artery from the heart in the right leg. femur is the biggest bone in the body and the right one can be a dangerous break due to the artery. life flight for a broken leg sounds serious. hope for a speedy recovery.

FYI, the "femoral artery" is in both legs... the one on the right is just the most direct path used by cath labs.

Speed recovery. Eventhough it is a big bone and the femoral artery is on the way, that surgery and recovery is very quick and simple. Well atleast on my experience. They inserted a titanium rod on my femur and that has been the only injury that never caused me any pain, discomfort or effort to recover. In fact if they hadn't mentioned they placed one, i would have never noticed. Again get weel soon.

man and to think I was joking with Graeme about borrowing parts off his bike to fix my shifter right before it happened. Didnt realize it was him until today.
