Tales from the Hood...

Soo I got my mini together and could'nt wait til the next golf course ride, soo I decided to venture out into my old Hood..

Since the mini is'nt street legal(yet), I had to haul down the sidewalk for a little bit to get to the first access point to the great majesticness that runs behind my house. We call it the bayou..

When we were kids, we'd see who could walk the farthest across these poles.
My buddy Lawrence could do the whole thing.
They did'nt have these guards back then of course.
standard

Continuing down the banks of the bayou leeds you to a few bridges.
I smoked my first cigarette and spliff under this bridge some 15 or soo years ago. Good times..
standard
standard
standard

Theres alot of the water retention deals everywhere now.
I call this one the battle dome. It's fun to ride in.
standard

Click it in neutral and coast down to the bottom.. you can drift with the rear brake too if you want..
standard

Some fine artwork by our local talent..
standard

A little farther down the bayou brings me by my old elementary school..Kaiser Elementary.. Ahh, simple times..
standard
standard

Had to get a pic of the water tower. Class of '96 baby..
standard
standard

This is the bicycle bridge me and my buds would meet at before riding to middle school. Surprised it's still up.
standard
standard

Decided to turn around and head back the other direction.
Passed by a new complex that looks like it's already turning into ghetto projects.
standard
Spotted a skinny. Since he was on the other side of the bayou, I went ahead and risked a pic..
standard

Before I knew it, I had made it all the way down to the beltway 8..
standard

Decided to get some gas since there was a exxon right there.
standard
this thing sips gas! .3 gallons!
standard

My part of the beltway is booming with new industrial complexes.
This one has a nice big lot thats tucked in between buildings..
standard
Good chance to practice my whoolies(I suck) and snap a few pics of the new hawtness..
standard
standard
Ever seen a xr100 with passenger pegs before?? hello slimmy's
standard

Decided to put it in the wind and head for home..
On my way back, there is a haunted woods that I considered exploring.
standard

There was trash and everywhere. It looked kinda creepy..
standard
standard

I decided not to go in alone, just incase there was some disgruntled homeless people living back there. Did'nt want them jackin' my . Maybe next time someone else wants to join in and we can go check it out.

Anyways, thats it. Had fun. Thanks for looking.
