that sucks man. Glad you're okay. Bike is the easiest thing to repair so you made out good with your gear.

yeah, i know the bike isn't that bad, but the dealer said he'd go over the entire estimate w/ me before he talked to the ins. co.

made me so mad, b/c i was 3 blocks from my house and i had just been talking with switch about how i'd been riding for a year and a half and had never wrecked...

Statistics show that most accidents happen within 5 miles from your house. Maybe because most figure that they are near home and familiar with the area, so they drop their guard.

Statistics also show that saying things like "I've never had a wreck" guarantee you will in short order

Bummer man. Lesson learned. Glad you are okay and were wearing gear.
Did your helmet touch the ground?

Heh, bout all I do to drop my guard when no one is around is get one last WFO throttle run before I get to my street off the main road

P.S. how hard is it for you to wish well to someone?

Heh, I've wrecked on the track but not on the street. I probably will though eventually, I've almost wrecked a few times due to poor road conditions, but I've always managed to ride it out.
