I like and really endorse the Power Commander, but it's not absolutely necessary immediately if you don't have the finances to do both simultaneously.
Last season Ronnie ran his '05 636 with a full Leo Vince exhaust without a PC till the 2nd TWS (Texas World Speedway) race. Whlie it made a good difference when we did install and map it, the bike still perfomed well without it.

Arturo,
I've got a question about the numbers on that dyno sheet, maybe you know the rest of the story.
If they got almost 10 hp by wiring the flapper open than you should gain that much plus some for a full system. (although I'd have to see it to believe it)
Plus there should be somewhat of a dip in the mid range due to the loss of the valve.
However I only saw an approximate 3.5 hp gain on their dyno graph they put up and the curves are almost identical. Where's the 9.8 gain?

i think what happened was that they saw that first gain at 92.5HP when they cranked it up cold, so the bike wasnt at operating temp for the first initial run (which they made as their base run). then after it warmed up they ran it again and saw it reach 101.7 with the ECU "mod" and compared the two.

i only saw a 3 point something gain and im sure the owner of the dyno gave him the most accurate sheet to show, but maybe the first run there was 9 point something gain. this was on a 6rr so i would be curious to see what a 636 does around 13k.
