I'm really pleased with the GoPro as well. Like I said, though, you need high capacity batteries, like Energizer Lithiums or Sanyo Eneloop Rechargeables. I have used both and got great performance out of them. Alkaline batteries will only last 10 minutes, if I recall correctly.

The Eneloop AAA batteries are rated at 800mAh, which is the min you want.

it i wish i was fast so i could buy one and post cool vids of me going fast on the track :(

but i think ill buy one anyway and just speed up the vids like 1.5x so it looks like im going fast

If anybody is interested, I'm willing to create an adapter for a go-pro so you can plug it into the bike eliminating the need for batteries. Let me have your camera for a few days and I'll work it out. Cost would be probably $20 to $40.

The website says lithium batteries last about 3 hours, NiMh batteries last two hours. The only downside with putting a small jack in the phone is that you would likely lose the water resistance.

I've been toying with the idea of modifying the remote for my bike camera to make it turn on when the bike is moved.

I bought a VholdR at the motorcycle show at reliant last Nobember. Its alright but I am having problems with the rechargable battery and also it has some color issues. I think im gonna give the go pro a try. here is vholdr's website if anyone is interested. www.vholdr.com

i just got the hero cam...it comes with various mounts...one of them is a big suction cup

the camera is nice...the batteries dont last long at all unless you get the lithium
