Question I'm thinking of buying a bike cam, but don't know where to start

I want to buy a bike cam so when I crash I get it on film. LOL jk (but seriously I want it on film IF it happens)

I know nothing about video cameras or uploading videos onto a computer. I am not looking to spend more the $300 but I want decent footy too

Is that GoPro any good? Easy to operate and upload?

Thanks

-Hooli

The only problem with the gopro is that it goes through batteries FAST. Be sure to use high capacity rechargeables.

I bought a go pro and love it. It specifically says to use energizer lithium batteries. I have had the same set in since I bought it and they are still going strong. I also have a 4gig memory card in it. Go pro does NOT come with a memory card, you have to buy your own. Any questions, pm me or give me a call.

you can get a tank mount for about $25 on ebay (attaches using gas tank screws) than any camera that has a screw mount can be used.

For example the Canon 1100 IS is around $200. 8MP camera and IIRC ~2 hours of video with a 16GB card.

I just got my GoPro Hero Wide yesterday and tested it today. The footage is phenomenal!

Exceptionally stable, resolution is fantastic!

Highly recommend!
