I'm going to hit that area again today. Par, he actually loved to ride. Any time I grabbed the jacket and helmet he would say "wanna ride?" and raise all kinds of . If I didn't take him he would be moody and nip at me for two days. Stopping at red lights he would bob his head and say "ride". He def. enjoyed riding as much as any of us. Thanks for the well wishes. Sean, I'm sooooo sorry. I know Chigger meant as much to you guys as he did to myself and will be missed dearly. He was truly one of a kind.

Read through this and still couldn't find an answer to the question: Were the wings clipped or could the bird fly?

Clipping the wings doesnt stop em from flying... it just makes it 'harder', thus reducing the distance or length of time that they can fly.

Sorry to hear what happened and wish you best of luck mon. If possible check trees and overpasses/bridges closest to where he came off. Might also see about putting something up in the chronicle of houston press and keep an eye on craigslist

...and while we're getting onto the bit about the 'bird' clinging for dear life etc. Stop and think ya retards. It was a bird, it had wings.. if it didn't want to ride it'd wouldn't have gotten on the rope on the triple/bars. It would have flown off when he started the bike or when it didn't want to be at that spot anymore.

From what Op and some others have posted, the bird demonstrated actions that implied that it 'liked' to ride.

its pretty bad when a bird show better cognitive function than some of the people here.

Just got back from a quick search and didn't find anything. He was clipped save for the outside flight feathers. He could go horizontal a little, but not vertical.
