Rider Down 610 Just Past 288

On the way home from Endzone we topped an overpass and a huge gust of wind knocked Chigger off the bike. Quite a few cars directly behind me. I could tell he was getting tired and was about to take the next exit because I needed gas anyhow. Felt the gust, felt something graze my jacket on the left side, looked down and my riding buddy was gone. I'm so devastated. bird just logged over 1200 miles too. He had more miles than some members of this community and will be missed forever. I took the next exit (sorry about that little green car) and looped back around but didn't see anything. Godspeed little buddy, man do you have some stories to tell on the other side.

RIP Chigger - the baddest parrot on the face of the earth:

Thanks, I'm so heartbroken. I want to feel bad for ever getting him on a bike, but then I think to myself, how many parrots get the chance to ride a motorcycle? The fact that he was enough of a hardass to even hang with me the first time sets my mind at ease. Still hurts though.
