Question Suzuki = bad frame???

I was told today that Suzuki's tend to have problems with frames, sub-frames and/or swingarms cracking in low speed/impact crashes. I don't know the year of the bikes referenced but I did see that there was a frame recall on 05-06 GSXR 1000's.

Has anyone experienced this? I am looking at possibly picking up a GSXR 600 in the near future so if you can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

It's not really much of a problem, but yeah in certain crashes the frames on some year model 1000's crack by the weld just behind the steering head.

Any subframe can/ will bend/ break in a crash- none of the manufacturers have that locked down for sure.

Some of the '06/7 GSXR 1000's had a problem with cracking welds near the steering neck that was recalled and offered a fix.

You should be fine with a 600.
