The grinding sound that was on my bike was a broken tooth on the front sprocket.

i would check the brake pads on the front, could be grinding the rotors. as far as uneven wear, could be a number of things. old cheap tire, out of balance, riding in circles.....

The adjustment screws are for rebound and compression.

We can set up the suspension for your weight, including those adjustments for $25.00 and we'll explain how they work to you while we're doing it.
As far as tire wear, it could be a number of things.
The first thing I'd check would be tire pressure.
The girnding sound could be worn pads, chain and sprockets or any other number of things.
We can look at that the same time if you come, no extra charge.

ya thats what i read in a repair manual but i am worried it mite be the barrings i am just not to sure i need to check that out this morning
