Why would you want to convert a soft comfy seat of the 650r to a wooden plank of sporty seat?

i loved the banana seat on the 650.. it was pretty comfy when i had one

especially for riding 2 up

I agree. The cowl looks good on the seat. You prob want to keep the option open for a "ride along" at some point.
