I was looking so forward to this ride... I even went home early Saturday night to rest for it. I hope Tiatool and everyone kept you all safe.

Sounds like it was incident free, good.

HooHa! I'm home. NO INCIDENTS!! Not even a runoff!

Cali. So sorry. I got your text in the morning, and I was devastated. It just isn't the same out there without you. YOU WERE MISSED.

Thanks to everyone who showed up and especially those that helped out:

SpringR1 you rock and are very gracious for sweeping the whole ride. Talk about restraint!

Navigator you were a huge help in leading the mid group through the forest and keeping an eye in the center of the pack. Glad we never had to use you for goback person.

Andrea you did a super job leading the newbs down 3090. YES YOU!

And to everyone else that showed up to make the forest ride such a pleasure you all rock!!

Hey Guys. Nice seeing you all this morning. 224 was a blast. Glad to hear everyone made it back safely. I rode 149 back. The forest ride was awesome at around 2:15 - 2:30.
Thought I seen a few MHer's heading back through the forest and Honea Egypt.

Guys that was a great, well organized ride. Taking rides like that is the reason why I have a bike. Can't wait to do it again!!!

gtdriver and I. We rode up to Onalaska, ate lunch and came back down 224. Headed up to Conroe via 75. I then hauled over to 1488, honea egypt, and up through 149. I put in 306 round trip today.

Glad to see everyone made it out ok. Sundays have to work till 1ish so i consistantly miss out. however i did make a run down 149 to anderson before it started getting dark. Unfortunately not everyone was so lucky.

Around 149 @ about 1/4 mile before 1725 i had a group of tools pass me while i was stuck behind a pickup. I say stuck because Im not stupid enough to pass two vehicles traveling at 60 in a nice grade turn at 85+ where visibility is extremely limited (thankfully they didn't eat a truck).

I didn't get the chance to finish my rant though. After passing the truck where it WAS safe I found the tools in the next turn fishing one of their bro's out of the ditch. Fortunately the guy was uninjured and had minimal damage to what had been a nice all grey gsxr. Apparently he lowsided after comming into the turn far to fast, none of the group had been on 149 before from what they said.

Thus I'm even more hesistant to ride with others. I get to pick up enough wrecks at work, I sure don't want to get to scrape people i know off the pavement.

Yep, good ride. My hurt, but it's a small price for a great ride on an amazing day. Some of those blind curves on 224 were a little nerve racking the 1st time through, but it could be a lot of fun after learning the road!
