You might want to go to a cycle gear and try a few on. The one on 45N carries quite a few in stock and various brands. You might get lucky and find one that works off the shelf. There is a larger cycle gear in houston as well, but I don't know where it's at. Perhaps somebody on the board can help.

you have thighs like a woman.

but before you get all bent outta shape, i'm sure some other dude out there finds your body type attractive. once you two find each other i'm sure you'll both be happy campers, and i'll even vote to legalize civil unions just for you

I say 2 piece for both. A 48 will swallow shsu in the upper body. 46 is the best bet, but it may be short. CBRguy is prolly to big in the waist for 48 and not near tall enough. His waist and height are gonna make a 1 piece near impossible. I had to do a 2 myself. Im 5'10 220 with a 32" waist. I work Sol's 46 a nearly 2 trs ago before my upper body got as wide as it is now.

I agree for OP it will be between a 46 and 48 depending on the length.

Hey SteveO, if push comes to shove and you end up going the custom leather route, there is a lady in Willis that does custom leathers. Very nice stuff. Her name is Jol and she can be reached at info@catwalkleather.com. She replaced all the zippers in my red leathers and did a great job. I'll be having her make leather lowers to go with my Dianese jacket at some point.

Also, be sure to ask the racers who is making their custom leathers these days. Although I can't recall the name, there is a texas based company that is doing fitted leathers. Perhaps Cobra281 has them?? I don't recall for sure.

I am about the same size. You want to look at about a size 44. Height may be a little bit of an issue but should not too bad. Make sure that there is room for a back protector if you plan to use one. Depending on who the suit manufacturer is, the shoulders/arms may be a little loose.

Like most people have said, go try some on and see what fits. Try different brands because upper body fit varies the most.

44 seems small to me, I wear a 44 and I am 5'10 or 5'11 and 170 lbs and it fits snug
