Not sure about others but passing is allowed in Novice at TTD after lunch as long as you maintain a 6 ft. safe zone between you and whoever you pass.

I have a Ninja 250 and am concerned about not being able to keep up or stay out of the way of everyone on the bigger, faster bikes.

You have nothing to worry about You'll be having a blast running circle around 600's with that thing

You learn how to bounce!

JK

Actually, after doing TD's I quit street riding all together. Thus making it hard for the guy running the red light to hit you while your riding.

It makes you a better rider....not superman! Accidents will always happen, but it will decrease the chance of it being rider error.

track day taught me how to use the majority of my braking power and turn in hard which kept me from plowing into a car that pulled out in front of me while i was going 80. if it weren't for the TD i probably would have locked up my rear, gotten clatter from the transmission due to the locked up rear, panicked, and went right into the drivers side door and done the superman over his car and gotten myself seriously hurt.

td's aren't going to help in every situation out there, but some of the few things they help with can save your life.

I have never done a trackday... honestly, it just doesn't (personally) interest me...

I never have the time, or the money. It can be a very pricey hobby with renting the leathers, the drive, the maintenance/set up. I know there is an answer to all excuses but I am so obsessed with my job that my weekends are already scheduled most of the time...

but I DO encourage for everyone to do a trackday... it is a great experience to further your riding abilities...

lol
do as I say, not as I do

where were you driving 80? im not sure there are any 80 mph roads anywhere around here? so maybe that could have been avoided by not speeding. I am just saying. Track days will make you a better rider, but they are not the answer to making you the safest rider out there.

HAHA. Lanzer claims not to be big into track, yet if that is him in his avatar pic, he is a spitting image for a famous Aussi rider.

I-10 is 80mph once you get past San Antonio.

even in turns? or is there a suggested speed that is much lower than 80mph?

is there any place to enter I-10 directly onto the freeway in a turn?
