As far as the extinguishers, I believe it is something the track provides. I know MSRH has them in each gazebo, and I think I remember seeing them at TWS (Texas World Speedway). I would feel safer if each corner had one, that is for sure.

I think at some point everyone should do a track day. Most places will let you rent the gear and as far as the money is concerned, $120-150 is not a lot of money. I think its even more benificial to new rides because there is less to worry about than being on the street as long as you don't think that you are Valintino Rossi off the bat. When I firdt started to ride I did the two days riding in school rode on the street once(which scared me to death) and the fourth time I was on a bike I did a track day, no cars no sand and rocks in the road, no animals running across the street. Thast where I learned how to ride.

Have you asked Ball (AKA DairyLand) specifically? I haven't but I probably should. I would much rather know for sure one way or another then hoping they accept my wording if and when something major happens. Honestly I would only even make a claim if I had such a bad get off the bike was totaled or beyond cost effective to repair, otherwise between deductible and the raise in your rates it's not worth the $$$.

I don't remember seeing them at the ones I worked @ TWS (Texas World Speedway) and MSRH. They may have been there but I just don't remeber them. If they are there it's something we should have Wes mention in the CW meeting, I know it has never been mentioned in any of the ones I went to. Just a thought.

I don't care what anybody says, I am NOT comfortable riding with people that have not done a trackday. Unless it someone who has many years of seat time under their belt and there legit riders

Do they have a noob day? i've been looking into the track day, the things keeping me away are:
1. i dont want to be slow down or potentially ruin good/experienced riders track day.
2. Ride next to "wannabe" badasses that could take me out...
3. can you take your own street bike or do i need a track bike?

All the trackday org's have Novice sessions where all the noobs will be riding. Usually about 20 or so people in a group plus a few instructors

You can take your street bike....plenty of help/advice to help you get it track ready...probably take about 30 mins

Yes there is a "Level 1" or "Noob" if you want to call it that at any Ridesmart event, for first time trackday riders. Theres a class with great instructors and its suuuuuper FUN! No pressure whatsoever. You will learn more in 1 day then 1 year IMO and be a comfortable, confident, SAFER, and smoother street rider.

Bring your streetbike and a roll of blue painters tape. You can rent leathers when you get there

Yep. I was speaking of TexasTrackdays, Lonestar, and Ridesmart.
