I'm definitely looking at a sportbike, I'll probably start racing CMRA again or doing trackdays first at least. As for an R6, I don't know is that the baddest 600? I think the new 636 is suppose to be just unreal. If I ride more on the street than on the track, I'm probably looking at a liter bike. Any suggestions?

Not this year..... Suzuki is still selling slightly upgraded '06 technology, with bold new graphics in their 600/750 line.

I'd go with either the new R6 or the new ZX6.

If I didnt know he was right already I would lean towards what he is saying since he works on bikes 6 days a week. Not to mention and accomplished racer.

But to answer the original q, the new zx6r is an AMAZING sportbike. Lighter/more powerful/ better suspension etc.

i hate to say...the new zx6 sounds like a pretty bad machine. it won motorcycle.com's 600 shoot out. but only barely. i have the suzuki. i love it personally. but im not a racer guy or anything either. the suspension is the apparent weak spot on the gsxr but it was the most comfortable to me.
the triumph daytona 675 is an AWESOME bike too. tons of torque, transmission is a little rough but thats in comparrison to my slipper clutch. if i were in the market again it would be between those three.
the r6 is supposedly an awesome track bike i hear. but it has low end and mid range power and it feels like sitting on a saw horse to me.

all that being said...GSXR FTMFW!!
