All cop cars have the dash mounted camera and can see your license plate anyway. Maybe he was just taking the pic to supplement the data the dash camera couldn't see.

if im not mistaken it has to visible to the rear without anything in the way . i have seen some in front of the tire . that means the tire blocks the view from some angles. also i think he said it was a motorcycle cop . they dont have cameras on the m/c . i know some cops that work the 10-6 shift on the northside hate motorcycles and brag about jacking them up. they tell each other they just saw one going by and try to stop it even if not doing anything wrong .

I got "pulled over" while I was pumping gas a few weeks ago. When I passed the officer I was on the opposite side of an 18 wheeler. No probable cause......he just eventually busted a u and I was already pumping gas by the time he pulled in behind me & hit his lights. Its just getting rediculous. I'm starting to dislike riding after 10yrs simply because I'm sick of getting harassed.

get a motard then! I've heard tails of them getting away with much more. They pull you over, then when find out your not a teen on that dirt bike laugh it off. I want one bad!

i never understood why you guys insist on putting the plate there when you know youre gonna get harassed about it, and then complain about getting harassed. on top of that, the plate gets dirty as to the point in some cases where its unreadable. why dont you just put it where it goes?

in almost two and half years of riding ive only been pulled over twice. once because he couldnt see but half my registration sticker because of the reflector on the plate, in which case he didnt even make it all the way up to my bike before he told me to have a nice day, and the second time i was doing double the speed limit and got caught. both cases were justified. am i just lucky? ya right. i just find it hard to believe that cops are messing with the same people over and over again for no reason, unless theyve already made a nuisance of themselves.
