Hi everybody!

Hello I am new here. My name is Riaz...some of you might know me. I have not been riding for too long although I received my M class in 2000. I took the safety course back then. About two years ago I decided not to let one of my dreams slip through my fingers and picked up a 99 CB250. I rode that bike on and off to the tune of 1200+ miles (which is not a lot).
Two days ago I picked up a new 05 ZX10-R. However on the way home I realized this is just too much bike for me (even though some of my friends began on 1000cc bikes and they said it's no big deal), so the next morning it was prompty returned for a 06 ZX6-R. I am much happier now and need to learn much much more before I attempt to use the bike as much as I want to. So for now I am content with riding around the neighborhood and using the church parking lot for practice. I am going to retake the safety course (beginners first and then advanced as I progress). Hopefully I will be able to join you guys on your outings in due time.

Thanks goes out to Chris for his advice and for answering all the questions that I could come up with; without his giudance I would be even more lost. Thanks goes out to Donnell also for his advice on not only the bike but the helmet choices; I'll be picking up a new helmet soon. And thanks to Albert at the TC Kawasaki for his help and understanding with my situation, and for being patient with me throughout the decision process.

Riaz

Welcome buddy. Your just showing aspects of maturity, and wisdom. Always be a leader and not a follower. Outstanding the way U carried yourself. Keep riding and keep making your own decisions that work for you and your family.

i'd recommend you retake the MSF, you know that saying "if ya don't use it, you loose it"..........

if nothing else stay in the parking lot or side streets for a long long time, the 6r you bought is a looooong ways from the CB you "learned" on.

JJO is right!! You probably wouldn't be here if you had kept that 1000. Not to say that you couldn't ever handle it, but you have to do the foreplay before you get to the hardcore action.

Good to have you here!
