bike shopping

so yesterday i went to the shop my bike is at and when the guy started looking at it told me it is totaled. would cost like $6000-$7000 just to fix! just by looking at it it didnt seem that bad,but he's the pro and knows best. soo i have to say bye bye to my pink lady and start shopping around for a new one. i love looking but it makes me so anxious cause i hate waiting! and unfortunatly i have to wait for the insurance check and this splint to get off my arm so i can use the throttle. on another sad side depending on whats for sale when im looking and have cash in hand i may not be getting another zx, if anything i may be getting a cbr but who knows

Who totaled it? the Insurance company or someguy you went to?

It might not be that bad, take it to Patrcik and sunny, they might give you better advice. Likewise, if the insurance compnay total it and it will only cost a few hundred dollars to have it running you might want to buy it back.

i'd say buy another zx6r too,, on the other hand,,, cbr's are badass bikes just a little more responsive from my experience.. i'd say test drive different bikes to see which one u like best

2 different shops have said it was totaled and they wouldnt feel safe with anyone getting back on the bike unless they used it as a stunt bike.

if the frame and forks are in good condition i'd let the insurance company total it and buy it back from them and fix it.....looks like mostly bodywork? race plastic FTW

what are the shops telling you is going to cost 6 - 7000 to fix?

if you decide to fix it but are not comfortable doing it yourself pm me.
