When I was younger, used to do it all the time in my truck just for kicks. As they saying goes...."Young and Dumb". Luckily I never got busted for it way back then.

I got arrested for this way back.

In all honesty, I never knew the cops were even around, never saw any police cars or lights. I got tagged at 169 (though I was well past 190 for part of the trip), but that recorded speed was considered "Reckless Driving" and also a felony. DPS came to my house and arrested me about 30 mins after I was already home.

After $2000, 100 hrs of community service, and 6 months of no moving violations the offense was removed from my record (deferred adjudication). My wife framed the ticket and it has the saying, "most expensive ticket ever".

Lesson learned. I save the high speed runs for sanctioned events.

which is evident in Maxgs thread...lol

I'm lucky I never got caught...but if you're gonna run...here's how to do it...

make sure you only do it when with 3 or more peeps.

make sure you split up...never stay together.

Hiding in Corn fields or heavily wooded areas is your best bet.

Call someone to come pick you up...do not attempt to ride out the "area"...chances are there are 15 leo's looking for the 3 of you.

With that said...running is a bad idea, but if you're gonna do it...follow my rules. And remember, just 'cause you've outrun the lights doesn't mean you've outrun Motorola.

Just because you run from the cops doesn't mean it increases your chances in death.. it just increases your chances for a huger fine

Untrue. Believe it or not, some cops will not hesitate in ramming their car into your bike to get you stopped. Therefore that in itself increases the chance of death.

Hate to say it, but better them eat it in a ditch alone, than take out others down the line.
