Basic deductive reasoning... if RacerX was going faster than the bike to pass in the first place, then either:

a: RacerX slowed back down to keep the bike in his blind spot

This sounds the most logical. I say he pulled a B (above) and Racer X is calling him on it. Riding in a blind spot isn't smart, riding in the kill zone is just plain stupid.
Racer X has an obligation to point this out. As an MSF Instructor, he has the responsiblity to set the example, wear gear, and point out mistakes like this to promote general moto-safety.
I would hate to be flamed for pointing out a possible safety hazard like this, but it served it's purpose: your all thinking about it....
