He is off significantly... more so then the sprocket change would have done without changing the speedo. Maybe it went the wrong way, instead of subtracting it added the percentage?
im confused by what your saying on the yellowbox. you call them and tell them what you need and it comes preprogrammed to match the speed ratio difference on your exact bike?

i think there is also way too much info flying around at once in here and we are replying before the other person even can. please tell us. was the test you did with your mom behind you in the car done after you had programmed the speedohealer?

you need to do it again with the speedohealer cleared then use the calculator at the link i posted and select "precise". you really need to do it at a better speed than 30mph to be more accurate. my speedohealer is close to 100% accurate and i have gps based speedo on my radar. we could hit up a straight freeway one night and get the values to use on the calculator if you want.

Its being over analyzed.

option 2 was already set in the calculator by changing the ratios; the correction was given for it.

after using the equation above, you can correct for actual amount off by adding a percentage to option 1, while the info for option 2 is already inputed.

or as you mentioned, use the equation to find the percentage between the actual and original without correction.

you would still be basing the calculation off the "estimated" calculator. do it exact and be done with it.

well fck. if i go to pp1 i would be in the truck with the fiddy (no speedohealer ) plus i don't care to ride a sportbike anywhere alot of the people that go out there. just hit me up one evening and we can do it down some freeway at a time when there is little traffic.

I haven't read the whole thread but you will need to correct the factory speedo error of 8%, plus your gearing change, plus your tire wear.... Borrow a gps and keep making changes until its right. I have my 1000 speedo accurate to the mile, even at 176mph....
