Question GSS Clockwise.

I have been trying to find a video of GSS running clockwise. All videos I have found are CCW.
If you have one or know where I can find one please post the link. It doesn't have to be on a bike. I just want to visualize the track.

haven't seen one run CW....I personally think there are safety issues runnin it CW and won't participate in a TD there if run CW....I saw enough concern watching 2 or 3 peeps running off in T1 and almost making it to the back side of T3. I would think there is more potential for the happening at the other end of the front straight. I dunno know though, just my opinion.

Why do people get so freaked out about running different directions? If you suck at turning right (or left) it clearly shows you need more practice.

That said, Danny's concern regarding T1 safety is a valid point, but one I cannot substantiate through first hand knowledge. In a previous (and not too distant) incarnation of me, I evaluated tracks for rider safety, and can say with certainty that motorcycle racer safety is somehow regarded as secondary or even tertiary. I don't understand that because if you can make a track safe for motorcycles, all other forms of racing will also be safe.

Let me state again that I do not have an opinion about GGS in the CW direction because I have never ridden it CW.

get after it then....like I stated, just my opinion and from just looking at it with a naked eye, there appears to be less run off room on the north end of the front straight than the south end and I saw a couple of "semi close re-entries" with the rider still on the bike....what happens if he were to crash and the bike carried on back onto the track??? Just my opinion dude....don't beat me up over it

LOL, all I want was a video and now we are talking safety issues.

The reason I asked for the video is because I like to watch videos of the track before I go. I have been to GSS CCW and I had issues (personal demons with curves) that I am trying to overcome.

Anyway, I just want to see the track ran CW.

Danny, come out and at least do the parade laps and see what you think

I can assure you, we would not compromise the safety of our riders and staff. Plus, if you wreck, you can just kick Chris in the berries

I'm not trecking all the way down to Hitchcock for parade laps....are you kiddding me? I'd have more fun running CW circles in my neighborhood without the 45 mile drive.

I believe ya, I'll just stick with my opinion. I sure hope you prove me wrong, I'd hate to be right in this scenario.

Chris, when running the track CW, do you guys use the section that is normally coned off like in the video above? If so, then I'll agree that it is just as safe as running CCW

no, thats only blocked off if requested.

where on here is your issue? If you are talking about what Greg put down, its LESS of an issue (MORE ROOM) than going ccw..
