Greetings and im glad to be alive speech....

hello all, im glad to be back in the land of the living, i was recently "parolled from the hospital" and am now back at how, i was in a accident at willowbrook mall on jan 8 @ 1315 (1:15pm for those of you who done speak military time), it all started one pleasnt day, i was leaving work on my blue 2001 sv-650s when a black minivan pulled out (the female driver (who if i catch i will kill) was on her cell phone and not paying attention) i was doing approx 15 miles a hour, i swearved to avoid her planning on stopping, once safe on the other side and going and knocking on her window with my helmet, however as i went to swerve,i lost traction on the rear tire (due to water that had accumulated in the pothole) i know had a new problem how to recover i tried to bring the bike straight but due to the tank slapping i was unable to do this, i ended up (in less then 10ft) to inspect the paint work (very closely of another mini van).

i have learned 2 VERY IMPORTANT LESSONS
1) dont try to avoid mini-vans
2) black and beige paint dont look good on a blue motorcycle....

Results
Damages to Robert
1) broken left index finger
2) 2 broken ribs
3) punctured lung
4) bruised lung
5) sprained wrists
6) sprained ankles
7) bruised ego...

Damage to Suzzane (the suzuki)
1) Bent forks
2) Dented gas tank (from the close inspection my had with it)
3) Broken shifter pedal
4) Bent brake pedal
5) Broken brake lever
6) Broken clutch lever
7) Dented front wheel
8) Scratched Fairing

Pictures are avaliable here

*update* just finished ordering new parts to replace major items will be rebuilding soon...

I'm not sure I understand what exactly happened, but it sounds like you had a 15mph tank slapper. Wow.

Glad you're ok, whatever happened. Sucks about your bike, I lost mine in a not-at-fault accident too. :(

Cliffnotes: he swerved to miss a mini van which pulled out in front of him while it's driver was chatting away on her celly- and not paying attention to traffic. Due to the wet road, he slid and lost it and hit another vehicle. He did say he PLANNED on knocking on her window and giving her what for- he never got the chance. She did most certainly cause the accident.

Sorry about your accident. Sounds like a helluva lot of damage for such a low speed wreck.

When will you be back on the bike? That's the important thing!

Glad you've healed up. Get another bike and stray away from the soccer moms on cell phones.

Glad you are ok, I remember someone talking about an accident like this on another thread. So, did the original soccer mom (the one in the cell phone) helped you or did she ran away?
