I guess you'll be keeping that yellow shirt on for another race weekend huh? You're not suppose to crash with those on, you know

Yeah someone mentioned that! I did a over the handle bars flippy mc floppy head over heals thingy. Washed the front tire! Then I was really smart and stood in the outside of the corner Not to bright, but I was not thinking straight I was pretty at that moment in time

What kills me is that I was going sooooooo slow all day (being a good prov nov) and then I wanted to push one or two laps... bad idea!

He gets another chance. A provisional novice has to complete two race weekends without a crash to loose the yellow shirt.

hurt my pride more than anything, i really wasn't pushing that hard is what kills me. I think I just over heat cycled the tyres.

I don't have tire warmers yet

Sucks that you went down in your first prov nov race. I backed out of the OHR races for my prov nov for a few different reasons. Figure I'll be at TWS (Texas World Speedway) in April to get my first race weekend out of the way.

I thought even with one crash we had to start over again?

Like I said at the track, I think those tires are just heat cycled to death. I'm guessing they about 18-20 heat cycles on them, and they are Michelins to boot

I was quoting you in my previous post. I will more than likely be handing over a handful of green stuff next time I see you. tyre warmers and tyres

Don't fret over the yellow shirt! I wore mine for four or five weekends before I could take it off. I learned very quickly that people do not like being passed by a rider wearing that infamous yellow shirt.

People truly have the wrong idea about that shirt. Yes, it means your a newb but it also means you are a member of a very exclusive club; the licensed road racer! Wear it with pride and wear it until you are comfortable with close proximity passes (~6 inches or less).

Take solace that your mistake was not a riding error but an equipment error.
