Stolen CBR Recovered

posted a few days back about my CBR900RR being stolen heres the link to that post
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...light=Cbr900rr

Most of ya'll didnt give to to start with it seemed however I got the bike returned to my house tonight. its not painted black and green its black and pink so he may have seen this site/post and repainted it in a hurry to change it up, and there some small issues with it but it still runs so thats a plus. He says he is going to replace the broken parts and help repaint the bike, the paint is real rattlecan paint and is painted over all the factory decals, even the zero gravity windscreen is painted pink. guess i can wear my pink ralph lauren polo and look all snazzy on it.

I did my own work doing some P.I. work and figured out where his parents house is including there home phone and spoke with his father, who didnt even know his son had a motorcycle, guess who wasnt so happy and was glad to help me get it. the guy was at my house with a truck and my bike in under 2 hours of me calling and speaking with his father about it. So needless to say i think someone got a good message.

Heres a crappy picture from my iphone of what it looks like now.black and pink

no the police weren't involved everything was done by myself with help of the all mighty INTERNET!!!

I did pm one of the leo's on here a few times for assistance but what help he provided wouldnt of help me in the retrieval of the bike cause i didnt know his address, he no longer lived at that apartment complex.

apparently his excuse was he had to get his sidekick shutoff and no longer had any contacts, ehh maybe.

I am going to fix the pink tomorrow and rattle can gloss black over everything. no biggie there, except the paint on it is a real poor job worse then the $300 Maaco Car paint jobs. apparently its been sitting in a parking lot somewhere in the southeast, guessing near texas city(thats where he was apparently when he called me tonight) for the last month. surprised someone else didnt steal it in that time.

so that means as a whole MH doesn't care about your stolen bike. every stolen bike thread I have read here everyone expressed their condolences and said they would keep an eye out.

no one ever said they would keep an eye out in the three pages of the original post, but i am not mad about that or anything. people were to busy trying to have me transfer the title which i understand would be smart but I was going to make it to strictly a track bike, which wouldnt make sense to me in my eyes to title it.

But thats okay i am not mad at anyone on here. Just thought i would share i got it back as most wouldnt of gotten stolen property returned.

well congrats man, my neighbor got his r6 back after 2+ months of it being stolen. be very sure that getting your bike back is far and few between, much less in ok shape.

besides the crappy paint, tail fairing is cracked on both sides rather bad, foot peg is broken on the left small dent in left side of tank, tank isnt even fully bolted down, left had grip isnt on the throttle. fuse box is hanging by the wires under the front fairing, headlights were disconnected becasue of an issue with the stator/regulator.

and apparently it runs alot better now(according to the guy) because they filled it with 93octane. I have been riding more then 10years dont you think i am smart enough to only use high octane in my bikes anyways lol.

yeah i got it back i am happy about that but a tad upset in the condition but it is fixable i guess so thats good.
