Alright, me and my freakish legs stand corrected.

If the Sidis are comfortable enough, they're the way to go anyway.

Yeah those are the Puma Flat V2's. I was just looking at these at cycle gear yesterday...too bad they only had them in brown at the store. I might have to pick up some black ones.

I picked up a pair of Sidi Vertigo Air at Motorcycles Unlimited. Like them a lot. Very comfy and no squeaks.

I know I'm late to the party, but I had 2c to spare.

I wear a pair of Setup Pegaso Vented (http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/setup-boots/). They're a mid-height boot, really comfortable, and very well vented.

Protection-wise, I think they're only a tad above a good pair of sport shoes. Probably give you the same amount of protection a working boot the same height would, but they're very light. And vented. And comfortable - you could walk around all day without any pain or stinkies.

Anyway, Setup was an attempt by Sidi to produce a "value brand". I don't think they make them anymore, but I sure did like them.

When cold, I wear some tall, waterproof Setup boots.

I wear A* SMX-R boots. Once you get them broken in...you can wear them all day if needed. It all comes down to whether you want style, or protection. You really can't quite get them both. There are some good compromises suggested though...
