I honestly havent ridden the 14, but I have owned a few busas and still own my original 99 and wouldnt sell it. I have a friend that buys a new one every few years, I think he is on his 5th, and loves them also, they are very comfortable and handle great, awesome 2 up and make good tourers, I,ve done trackdays and dragraced them, very reliable and hold great resale value, hope this helps, I would like to ride a 14 and see how they compare

I own the 14 because I dont do the "me too" thing of owning a Busa and it was faster than the Busa when it was first out. I kept mine bone stock for one year and it was an absolute smooth speedster. More comfort and a smoother engine than the 1st gen. Busa. I have not ridden the 08-09 Busa yet but have modded a friend's when I was modding mine. The Busa does not seem any better built than the 14 and performance wise are dead even. I plan on keeping the 14 unless Honda builds another super Blackbird. This is how the zx14 is now modded, runs 9.17 in the 1/4 on stock motor without nitrous and is 100% streetbike.

I didn't say anywhere that this would be a track bike.

never said any of the stuff you are quoting me as saying but the 1000rr is an inch and half longer than the 600 and due to the added weight it is most likely less affected by bumps in the road and what not.

im just stating that i wouldnt buy either of the two bikes considered.
I dunno, I really doubt an inch would make things much better.

I loved my busa. super comfy and great for long distance rides. Handled a track day just fine and I got my first speeding ticket on a bike with it. ahhhhh,, the memories.

the op actually posted he was not interested in liter bikes for the fact they are only marginally larger than 600s...and the same seat height, the 30 lbs difference, and 1.5 inches of wheel base are not really going to be that big a difference if you ask me, at least as far as comfort, specially since he wants to ride 2 up at times. and the bigger bikes for sure are more comfortable for passengers.

if it was me i would have the 1000rr though....if i wanted comfort i would get a cruiser or sport touring bike.
