It means that the officer wasn't able to get you on radar and was only able to make an estimate of your speed based on the traffic around you.

It also means get a lawyer because you might be able to beat it: driving at night, him doing feeder road speeds, multiple bikes, it all stacks in your favor.
But I should mension that his word is taken above yours, but a lawyer should be able to handle the DA to get thrown or reduced. Worth a shot anyway...

Just my $0.02

Thanks

Thanks guys, he didnt make it very clear to me he would show for court. Really the guy cut me a ton of slack...Ill make sure to thank him for that when I am there. However, if the 10% over is 71 in a 65 then I might just pay it. We shall see.

but again, the more I think about what happened...(and of course what I left out of the thread / lay off X) i really did get lucky. Again nice guy.

i dont know if its a good idea to get those $50 lawyer for traffic tickets. this offense may need someone with a bit more interest of getting you the best deal for you. a lot of the $50 just want to reset the case date and after 2 or 3 of them they just insist on taking the reduced fines. DA may not have a deal though.

No worries man, I have already forwarded the link for this thread to the DA for your admission of guilt.

In America, in case everyone has forgotten, " You are innocent until proven guilty". Get a good traffic attorney.

BTW on a different note. I had court on Monday and my speeding ticket was dismissed, YES!!! 1 down, 1 more to go. haha

You got lucky. When you're paying the $300 ticket imagine the thousands you'd have paid your lawyer, community service, probation, fat fine, community supervision fees, bike impound fees and night you'd have spent in jail for a reckless driving charge and the $300 bucks won't seem like such a big deal.
