[QUOTE=vmaxgirl;1781316]I am sorry but I disagree.... there is no way in , NO WAY, I am sticking around to let some dickshit run me over while he is doing 90 and I am at the speed limit. Jus NOT happening. To me this is a game... when I fire my bike up in the morning... IF I make it to work, I win the game. When I fire it up in the afternoon... IF I make it home I win again.

about 10mph faster than than the traffic around them is all one needs. are you telling me that ppl need to go buck30 moving in and out o traffic to increase thier odds of not getting ran over or into a wreck?

Of course and what's that saying about hindsight?

I am sure, that once Cody heals up and gets back on 2 wheels, the next time he will go ahead and go to the next exit.

Lessons are sometimes learned the hard way. And that's ok. We all make mistakes. Some are more costly than others.

It's friendly teasing, and playing with some of the terminology that's been used. With what.. 3-4 accidents already and the week isn't over yet, some morbid levity is not necessarily out of line.

Promise you're done? The 'mistake' was getting into that 'situation' in the first place. Learn it, understand it... and you might make a true 10+ years STREET experience.

The aftermath... well, I will detail more later, but the guy in the picture was seriously hurt. I hope the absolute best for him. Out of about 7 or 8 bikes however, only 2 others remained at the crash scene. I found this very strange.

Typical, choosing who you ride with is just about as important as wearing safety gear and maintaining your bike.

No... there was no need to state the obvious at that point. They didnt need me tell me them what they already knew.

wishing the best and speedy recovery to those who were injured last night.

both of the accidents were plain and simple accidents. speed is the obvious the culprit..not the rider or bike. the 120 mph accident..speed. the 65 mph accident...speed..
i cant see anyone hitting the curb at a really slow speed of 30 to 40 but 65 and dont know whats up ahead..ehh if it was me..i would slow down quite a bit..just saying

Just trying to clear on your post. In your original post, you said that you were exiting 59. Not that you were interchanging freeways. I was referring to your statement that you were exiting.

Then you can correct me here, if you are going northbound on 59 from the galleria; Kirby is nowhere near the 59 and 45 intersection. Also, there is NOT an exit ramp from 59N to I-45. All northbound ramps to I-45 are from SH288. You had to exit off of 59 onto 288 and then get on I-45.

So which ramp were y'all taking. Also, I don't think I have ever seen a ramp to a freeway that doesn't have an advisory speed limit that is lower than the mainlanes.

Worst most confusing exit in Houston. Lots of cages trying to do the same thing. Watch for cars hitting you around this exit.

i have hit that exact bump on the 45n split off 59 at night and yes it IS invisible. i just got a wicked scare and a little headshake but luckily kept on riding.

the only thing that went through my head was "whoa what the fck was that?"
