@@@@HID INFO---take a look@@@

I was searching through countless forum, youtube videos, customer reviews and decided to get the DDM Tuning Dual HID kit

For $98 including shipping and the lifetime warranty i got two h7 bulbs with the slimline ballasts @ 55 watts.

The DDM Slimline HID Kits feature the highest quality components and utilize microprocessor technology, making them noticeably brighter than most other kits on the market. The ballasts themselves are also much smaller than traditional kits, allowing them to be easily installed in tight places, or on vehicles with very little room in the engine bay, though they do have external ignitors.

This particular kit is DDM's Race kit with ballasts rated at 55 watts (compared to the 35 watts of normal kits) which produce over 4000 lumens in most colors! The increased power provides lighting up to 40% brighter than the 35-watt DDM HID Kit.

The kit includes:

2 Xenon-Charged Bulbs

2 55-watt HID Ballasts

2 "Plug-and-Play" Wiring Harnesses & Connectors

Lifetime warranty on all parts for original purchaser

Here's the websites color/lumens output. Obviously the first number is the 35 watt output and second number is 55watt

3000k "Ion" yellow 3200/4800
4500k Pure white 3400/5000
5000k White with a tiny hint of blue 3300/4900
6000k White with a violet hue 3200/4800
8000k Sky blue 3100/4700
10000k Dark sky blue 2900/4500
12000k Darker sky blue 2700/4300

I went with the 5000k @ 55watts because i wanted the highest lumens, with the tinest hint of blue upon start up, ending in pure white once warmed up.

In talking with a few people who have upgraded from the 35 to the 55, they said the $15 upcharge is worth it.

Here's a few comparisons from the boards i saw...this happened to be 35 vs 50

We have been touting DDM for years. I have had the ProjectorZ on the M coupe. Also have bought about 5 HID kits from them. They are the same kit that was on my 636, is on davids 636 and my 10R. Install is plug and play easy unless you are runnning them in 8XX series lights, which are usually fogs. Still have to hook mine up in my fogs on the truck. Kits are very very well priced. Jim Powell the owner has started Raptor branded HID systems. He holds a MSEE (maybe BSEE); anyway his kits are designed to his specifications and this newest kit (which is the cheapest) is made here in the good ole USA. He saids prices should be around 17 bucks for a kit in 2010 or before!!!

Oh and he's very well known in the BMW scene!!!!!

Did you buy a premade harness or make one? I've seen a few people make relays/harnesses for their bikes, but mostly those who ride country roads at night and have hi/low on at all times.

for those with the slimline ballasts and auto headlights, do you ever have a problem with it not turning back on after starting the car/bike? for example, you turn the key on and lights come on. lights go off while starting the car/bike. once car is started, light(s) don't come back on. it's annoying. my old big ballasts don't do that.
