More likely, they took all the parts that weren't serialized and ditched the frames to avoid being caught.

yo

most 's (criminals) will keep on doing what the are doing and they will make mistakes and will get cough.
now a days it takes one print or a smug of a print to get DNA and thats all it takes.
then there is people who will get cough with stolen items and will tell us who they bought it from,
and my favorte is catching them in the act in the process of taking the bike or dumping off the parts. its all good..
karma will catch up to you.
if you are not cough for this, you will be cought for something else.

vinnie

I will be surprised if the even print the frames. Any that are identified could just say the happened to walk by them laying in the ditch.

At my work, University of St. Thomas, I had someone breaking into buildings and stealing from offices. Small stuff, like change tins and some pocket money, they stole one wallet from a purse and made off with like $50.

They also tried to break a lock on a cabinet and steal the computer/projector/rack equipment (AMX controller and Extron switcher and a QSC Amp).

At that point they had stolen maybe $100-$200 worth of stuff, and hadn't really made off with . So I noticed the room was broken into and the stuff was tampered with and called the popo in.

They came with a full team and fingerprinted the whole room, including the ceiling mounted projector. They caught the guy a couple of weeks later and he went in for trespassing charges.

I'd imagine if they are willing to pull prints for a petty thief who didn't even make off with anything, they'd be willing to pull prints for this. Have more faith in the police!
