well from what i've read and from what the people at the shops tell me it's supposed to fit snug but not restrictive... u know? i would suggest goin to the shops in the area and just basically trying on to see what's comfortable for you. who knows, u might even find a great deal. lol. anyway, you don't have to buy there... it can just be a tool to help you find your sizes. i know people like to stress the "support your local shop" bullshit, but if their prices don't even come close to what you find on the net.. well take your money elsewhere :eh:

let me see if i can find a link that will tell you more about sizing though...

by the way, that helmet doesn't tell you if it's SNELL or DOT certified... i'm sure it is cuz my assassin is both, but check it out before you buy it

once you complete the MSF they give you coupons for gear. wait until then or just drop the $150 now and wait for the gear later.

the MSF is really cheap now.

also you don't need a jacket for MSF :-x

you won't be going very fast anyway.. unless you can't let go of the throttle like that one chick that crashed THREE TIMES....

we got alot of stuff in stock at our store in sharpstown, feel free to come and try stuff on. we do have KBC VR2's in stock, but not with that graphic, someone brought one in though, and it looks sweeter in person that in pics, ill tell you that.

as for icon gear, i have an alliance helmet. it looks about as good as you could expect a plain back helmet to look, except i need to clean it, lol...it does the job, but im going to spend more on my next lid...

i also have a pair of the icon superduty2 boots. comfortable as , and they get an A+ as far as what you need in a boot. they offer good support, without looking like your heading to the track, i.e. you can wear them to the office or the club, and not look out of place, but they are also great for riding.

i ALSO have (can you tell i like icon?) the icon urban tank bag, and its all you could ask for in a tank bag. the magnets are strong as (no straps around the tank needed) i went on a 130mph + ride one day, tank bag with me, and i didnt have to worry about it moving around at all. it converts to a backpack in seconds, and also has a flap you can setup real quick to hold your helmet. it was like $100, but i know its the last tank bag ill ever need to buy. we have some other brand ones at the store, like a Frank Thomas, thats on sale for $30, and its good, but i still prefer the icon...

i got to try on a icon timex jacket at ex-import. i like it alot, almost got it, but i know i want to start doing track days, and for that you have to have at least a 2 peice that zips...ill probably go with the Frank Thomas Strike pants and jacket at my store.

my advice, dont get hung up on one brand. i love the icon stuff i own, but i would have bought other brands if i had seen better stuff and/ or better prices. get whatever is good quality at a good price, dont pay for a brand name.
