What brand are the helmets with spikey colored hair on top or can you just put the hair on any helmet.

Yes they even have ones like spikes and ponytails. You can get them for around 20 bucks. Everyone has their own style. If you want to rock one then do so.

if being more visible was such a concern why is black such a popular color for motorcycle gear? If visibility really was a concern why are people NOT wearing neon colored safety gear? Or dressing like clowns?

Because most men with um......shall we say "ego" problems, think that if they wear black it automatically turns them into some kind of badass. These are usually the same ones that also use alcohol to wipe off their tattoos before work on Monday.
