Exclamation Replacement Key Help!

Okay, so I lost my one and ONLY key to my bike. How do I go about getting a replacement?

Do any of the sponsors here fab keys?

I'm rather at myself for this; I always keep my keys in one location but it seems I broke that rule.

Most bikes come with a coded tag that can be used to make a duplicate key. otherwise go to a dealer and prepare to be raped.

I'm the second owner of that bike so of course I don't have that crucial piece of info.

And " rape" is the LAST resort.

Shop or owners manual may have the key number, first owner or dealer will usually write it down somewhere. Have you looked under the seat?

Sorry man, hope you find it around the house somewhere.

if it is your cbr that needs a key just get the key code off the back of the lock cylinder (where it faces the frame).

For yours you can probably go to any locksmith, I know on mine and some newer bikes the keys are coded like.

I recently went to yamaha katy, took 2 minutes....yamaha 1960 never has blank keys. there is a locksmith...about 1 mile north of "yamaha of houston - 1960" does most motorcycle keys...just needs an original for the copy...cost like 4 bucks...but he doesn't hold original key blanks so they are regular bike keys (no plastic tips).
