I don't know, the whole thread still seems like a sob story. Still waiting to hear if there was ever really a problem? What did Patrick say? He is usually helpful and he is on here all the time. Strange that a 5 page post has gotten his attention yet don't you think? Just food for thought...

I haven't gotten a chance to talk to Patrick nor the owners of Katy Yamaha.
Been busy with work.
Again this thread was to vent my fustration. My intent was to give constructive criticism aka "sob story" towards to service dept. (what went wrong and how it should have been handled). I would still refer anyone to this dealership as far as purchasing and/or parts. But in my opinion, the service MAKES the dealership. You can buy from any dealership and its a one time deal but with great service you can guarantee a returning customer. Who knows, he/she might bring over some friends as well.

Feel free to bash. I'm all ears.

Reading is FUNdemental my friend. It's a 2009.

Fellas, let's stay on topic to keep this thread open.

Since Kris speaks on behalf of Katy Yamaha, he deserves to reply before y'all clowns get this thread closed for getting off topic. I assume he'll pull another response out of his but we shall see
But then again he may change the subject and start again. . .

And that is why I go see Sunny. His shop isn't full of and douchebags who don't give a about anything other than your money. Sunny takes good care of his customers and their bikes. If you are gonna come on this site spouting toward members I will sure not send anyone up to Katy Yamaha.

I wasn't trying to be an even though I probably came off that way. What I am interested in, is at the end of the day was there really a problem or not? Obviously you don't like there methods and thats cool, but I am just curious if there was actually a problem or not and if they overlooked it.

My turn, and I'm not trying to be an either buuuuut apparently you missed the part where it was said that he has previously owned this exact model bike. He knows how it should ride. His new one is NOT riding like the other one and it seems to be sluggish. I seriously doubt this is in his head either. Based on all the info, I think this man has a problem with his bike, plain and simple And yes, their methods were lacking, that's why I don't go to dealerships, but I guess if you go in for warranty work, you have no choice. . .

Let me introduce myself, my name is Brandon I am the service manager at Katy Yamaha. I seem to be a hot topic on this particular forum, and also seems I have an un-happy customer. I would like to resolve the latter and hope that the issues in question can be solved. I did indeed only ride the bike across the parking lot twice, and "Yamawhore" I do appologize for the amount of time I put into it. I did bring the RPM's down to 1000 three times and found the "bog" to be normal for an 2009 YZFR6. The revolutions you heard on the bike where from me accelerating hard, but in my defense I did not take it over 4000rpm and tried to replicate the issue you described. I followed up with you that the bike was still very new and believed that everything may not be seated yet, and to please stay in contact with me if it did not increase power over the break-in.
I apologize again I did not take more time with your bike. I hear this complaint of this particular machine quiet often and it normally resolves when the rings and valve seats mate. The other option I had was to check the bike in and wait till I had a cleared lift, at this time three days. I am under the impression most new owners would rather be riding a brand new machine rather then having at it the shop.
Yamawhore, I again apologize for the miscommunication and would like to rectify the situation by cutting a little off your first service. Please come in and see me.
By the way, to all of you that have supported the shop thank you, and we hope we can continue to service the industry with great support from customers like you.
Brandon.

very good of you to try and make the situation right.

...now you might want to do something about the sales guy from your store acting the fool as a representative of your store.

again kudos to you for getting on and saying your side and making things right.
