I understand what you are saying SDW, but it was necessary for them to get into those high rpms while testing your bike for the clutch. With the OP's issue, I don't think getting into the high rpms was at all necessary. Either way, the manner in which they tested his bike isn't really the issue here, while it may have him off a bit considering his bike is still in break in period, its not the issue, just another complaint he has to make.

The problem I see here is the fact that they didn't put much effort into correcting the problem. They just chalked it up to "It's normal for 600's to do that" Yea, sorry but I'll call BS on that too. The OP has ALREADY owned an 09 R6 and he KNOWS what it feels like and how it should ride. He is on his 2nd 09 R6 and it is not operating the way it is supposed to be. There is obviously a problem here!

Couldnt have said it any better.

BTW is this Gary?

Break in period on a sportbike depends on whether you want the motor to last more the 6k miles or if you just want a couple extra hp for a couple thousand miles ie a race bike that you know your gonna rebuild anyway.

I'm pretty sure were over the whole high revving issue. While he isn't too happy about it, it's not the point. The point is the service team didn't seem to put forth much effort to correct his PROBLEM. But you can't seem to look past their flaws in the service dept so you continue to talk about the high revving issue. It's cool though man, I know you work for them and want to stick up for them but their attempt to diagnose the problem sucked. PERIOD. If you still disagree, then re-read my post as it makes perfectly good sense.

I ride the Orange bike I claim, matter fact, I got home about 20 min ago from riding about 50+ miles and meeting up with some new friends for dinner. Thanks for the concern sym4ja

If I'm not mistaken, I think the forest killed that bike. But don't quote me. . .

that's so wrong. i don't want Ray to take it the wrong way but Brandon really is a grat guy. I mean, I'm just a girl, what do i know? i have different bikes from 2 stroke, to inline4, to twin. from riding the ducatis then jump to a yammy, i felt different so i called Brandon, and flat out asked me jokingly " are you sure it's not the rider?" and asked me to bring it over. and he was right. It was just in my head. i mean he could have rip me off and tell me something was wrong and charge me for something that it didn't needed to be fix, but he didn't. I just think they needed to communicate a little more.

Like I said earlier, Ray has already owned an 09 R6 and he KNOWS how the bike should ride. No communication problem. He told them what the bike was doing and their effort(s) to diagnose the problem sucked! Period. Don't get me wrong, I don't know the guy nor know how long or how good of a mechanic he really is, but for him to chalk it up and say "It's normal for 600's to do that" Give me a break. That's great if he's a good guy. I can respect that, but by the way the story has panned out, he doesn't seem to be a good mechanic, so who cares if he's a good guy? Ray doesn't need a friend, he needs his bike fixed.

If this post is indicative of the kind of people they staff at the Katy dealership, no wonder they couldn't figure out the problem.
