Well if its a Friday group then the choices are limitless, however there are planty of roads and lakes to see near Austin, plus if a Saturday group is going we can all hook up later Saturday night then all hook out Sunday monring for another ride before calling it and heading home.

I can split Friday...and I vote the sisters...but we can talk about this thrusday.

Plenty of options though.

The Three Sisters is RM 335, 336, and 337 Medina, Leakey and Camp Wood area, and unless you've been living under a rock and donít know west Texas...these HWy's are closer to Del Freaking Rio than Austin Texas. you're per closer to Mexico than San Antonio...

With that said, anyone leaving Saturday isnít going to make this ride...unless you like leaving at 4am and hooking it non-stop through San Antonio to Uvalde then north to Leakey...I am guessing 4.5 + hours easy to the three sisters. Even people in Austin are looking at a 2 hour trip to the sisters which from Austin isnít a big deal. But u cant go till Saturday forget it, unless ur crazy.

We bust this sucker out Friday afternoon to Austin we're golden for an all day event.

Grab some Google maps / earth and check it out. Look up Leakey Texas and you'll see the Sisters, 335, 336, 337 then note the general location in TX.

Just FYI, we need to plan this sucker good Thursday.
We have done this trip many times and you can make it in two days, but you will not really enjoy it. It is much farther than some of you are thinking, especially with hangover. I am not saying it is not possible, but it is a long way taking good roads all the way to leakey-if you slab it don't take near as long but what fun is I-10.
If you really want to enjoy 3sisters you need at least 3 days. One to get there, one to enjoy sisters, one to get home

Night life after 8 hours of riding is gonna suck. I feel old now, but I see that as sucking.

I can tell you from experience, doing the 3 Sisters from Kerrville or San Antonio is an all day trip. Add the 4 hours round trip from Austin and you better plan on getting up at O dark 30.
