wow, i am in complete shock right now. i heard about a hit-and-run on the news and my heart sank. it's a terrible thing to have happen to anyone, but when it happens to someone so close to home, someone that many of us knew, it really tears me up.

RIP and my prayers to the family and those that knew and loved him.

RIP to the rider and his family. Prayers for all involved, including the kid because he's going to have to live with this for the rest of his life.

They just announce on Channel 11 that the hit and run driver turned himself in last night or this morning.

Especially taking into account he's a 16 yr old kid, and thereby, must be a new driver.

No excuse for killing someone... Well they should have plenty of time to think about it in jail. Probly illegal, No license, Insurance & most likely $hit faced to run some1 over and keep going.

16yo kids with a new driver license should not be driving any vehicle over 1800cc. That invincibilty complex that all youth have, and the need for speed, especially when they see bikes going down the freeway. You know they want to jump in behind them and try to race/keep up to SHOW OFF what little skills they have. Most kids do it on the road all the time, trying to start a race.

I don't care how young he is. You hit someone, you stop. Period. To rationalize this kids behavior is absurd.
