I'm so sorry to hear about this.

I just heard about it on fox news and I was hoping that I would not find a thread on here.

Please ride safe!

wow, i hate reading these things...may he rest in peace!

Plates sometimes do fall off at accident scenes, so hopefully that is true...I don't understand how this can happen and no one sees anything or at least pursues someone if they see them leaving the scene without trying to help; especially someone not at fault. Are we that caugt up in our work day that folks just decide they dont want to get involved?...wtf!!!!?...

This is why it doesnt' pay to act like an a$$ on the road to cagers (not saying he was, just general perception), because when they see these types of things they automatically assume it's our fault! I hate people sometimes....B.S.

I really hope this -hole gets caught.
it would be nice if someone close can keep us updated... it would be great for the family and for the justice system to see the amount of support a fellow rider has here!

Houston drivers are CRAZY, I was almost hit in my TAHOE [muuuuch bigger than a bike and easier to see] by a guy in an Inifiniti SUV that was talking on his cell phone and began to merge into my lane without CHECKING HIS BLIND SPOT or his mirror...

You guys take a chance everyday when you're out there riding, please please please please watch out for the other person. That is 90% of riding.

On the way in to work today...TWICE, I avoided being hit by people on their cell phones, not paying attention to the road! I blasted them with my Locomotive horn on my truck! That always gets their mind right!

Sad to hear the news about a fellow rider, since it sounds like it was not his fault, but the ending is the same. Prayers sent to him, his friends & mostly to his family, because they are going to need it most! RIP Roderick!

also Chase, you need to have her call his family. The cops didn't know who or how to get a hold of anyone, they were asking us if we had notified next of kin...

wow...you really have to man up to break news like that.... I problably could'nt have done it. sad.

I wonder if the cops can use those Transtar traffic cams to see what cars we around or behind him that would match the tag. Of course it dosn;t help that it was dark out.
