Blue Bike vs. Pink Bike

When I first got my bike, I fell in LOVE with the BLUE. Some repairs needed to be done which required me to paint my bike. I figured since I have to repaint my bike, might as well try a new color. It took me months of debating and the willingness of giving up my blue. I decided to go w/ PINK. I was going to go w/ hot or bright pink but I didn't want to stand out too much. So I picked light pink - Mary Kay pink to be exact.

My beautiful blue bike...

Close your eyes, she's naked...

Front fairing has some rashes...
Tail section cracked w/ a hole, road rash, & scratches...
Used baking soda & super glue to patch it up the hole.

Tip of left peg broke off, I just sanded it down.
Gasket covered scratched up - sanded it down and painted it.

Gas tank had a dent the size of a baseball...
Bondled (sp?) it up.

Parts painted and drying...

My new PINK bike...

The color is Mary Kay pink - I added Pearl to it (alot of Pearl) but it didn't show up. I have to honestly say that I was kind of 'ify' when I saw the PINK. It took me a week to get use to the color - it's starting to grow on me now. I don't know what I was expecting... someone said it looks like bubble gum, someone said it looks like something they threw up last week. B/c it's a light pink, it makes the bike look OLD and DULL. Well, I wanted light pink so I got light pink... I was going to stick some decals on there but went against it. I'm going to stick w/ it and repaint it again in 6-12 mths. Maybe HOT PINK or back to BLUE :icon_bigg All-in-all, I like the color of my bike. I don't LOVE it, but I like it. I feel like I have a brand new bike!!

I don't know if pearl was originally in there, but I added more and it didn't show up.

unfortunately, the major damages were done by everyone that I let ride my bike..
I laid it down in a u-turn, but my sliders saved that.
I also went down in a twistie - tip of peg broke (sanded it down), cracked my puig shield (put factory shield back on), and bent my shifter (bented it back), scratched my exhaust when it got sucked in the barbed wire.

Oh, and I'm shopping around for a new exhaust. Don't know what I want yet tho.

I agree with Din add some chrome and your bike will be nasty. I mean alot of girls in Houston will envy you if you add chrome and some sort of designs to it. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
