Oh thanks. Your point is clear as mud now.

Generally, the attitude towards my and the other 3 that came with me was: "Oh my , how do you ride those lawnmower-sounding skittles? We got real bikes, they are tough, and we are tough, and do some serious riding! Independence and the road! Yeah!"

I really could no care less if they all rode 50cc mopeds.

I almost always keep my streetbike spotless. Cleaning and detailing it myself is a part of the experience, and I enjoy doing it. If I see even a speck of dirt on it before I go for a ride, I take out the Honda Polish & microfiber cloth and wipe it clean.

Be glad its aerodynamic plastics and not every bolt chrome-coated.

Even back in the day, when I bought my Nighthawk in 1985, I labored over cleaning and detailing it, especially the chrome. Like I said, for some, if not many, it's a part of the passion and love for motorcycling. And I put close to 60k miles on that Nighthawk.

No, everything is powdercoated, and red/blue anodized instead.

Many only use it for weekend excursions.

Much like all the matching HD gear etc. Its their money and their release. To each their own.

Its like groups that only wear alpinestar/icon/factory gear. Its whatever. I've been called a poser. Do I care? I cried when I got home until I was dry.
