Travel Section?

i have an idea...

i know im not the only one here who likes to travel. i go on several ski trips a year and during the summer i like to go on various trips with the bike to ride in different places. so i was thinking that it might be cool to have a "trip section" where people could post up stories, reviews, pictures from the various places we go. it would essentially build a database of different areas with suggestions for roads, restraunts, bars, hotels. you know places to see and places to avoid.

for instance im going vancouver for a week starting next friday. while im there i will spend three days skiing whistler blackomb. i intend to take lots of pics and everything while im there and im sure ill have at least some semi interesting stories to tell.

This is a motorcycle website, so cooking is out. I can't remember the last time Roadracing World or Motorcyclist Magazine had a feature on roasted lamb with garlic sauce (thank !) because writing feature articles on cooking isn't what they are about.

Travels on a bike are in, and in a big way. Reading about motorcycle travels is food for the soul.

+1

I want to do some trips myself and these reports might get me thinking about it ....

But should be MC related travel!

Other travel can go in off topic.

i cant remember last time roadracing world or motorcyclist magazine had an off topic section, either.

the travel section would be nothing but a few trips to austin, san antonio and the weekend forest ride if you wanna keep it motorcycle related. so no, its a bunk idea.

get a sense of humor and quit being such a whiner.

You're right. I do complain too much. I'll stop whining. Now let's talk about how difficult it is to setup DSL or something.

The family and I are going to England/Scotland to visit family and do some snow skiing this week and next. I will try and post up some pics when we get back.

I'm dying to rent some bikes over there someday and hit some righteous roads that I found last time we were there. That will be an adventure worth posting.

Actually they're the same. What really gets you is trying to shift with your left hand instead of the right. I rented a standard there the first time. I said never again and get the automatic everytime now.
