Question for people with E-TRACK systems in thier trailers...

When mounting the tracks...did you just screw them to the plywood? If so, have you had any issues of the screws coming out? I just finished installing several in my trailer, along with wheel chocks. I am concerned, that under enough pressure, the E Tracks could just rip out of the wood.

There are a few areas where I can find steel underneath, but broke so many bits that I gave up.

Also, through bolts (?) could be an option. But if I dont have to do the extra work, I'd prefer not to.

I use wood screws in to the floor/ wall. The more you use, the more surface area is affected which will help keep the E-Track in place longer under force.

Depending on the length of the E-Track, I use larger screws (like 5/16ths dia) at the ends and if it's really long, in two or three places spaced out. That's if the flooring/ walls are 3/4" thick or thicker. Thinner plywood benefits from reinforcement and is almost a necessity.

When we bought the last trailer I just layed out and installed the folding eyelets in the floor.
I've got e-trac on the walls to tie down stuff like pop ups and tables, but I prefer the additional security of the eyes.

Tks for the input.

SRAD - Northern Tool, on 290/Tidwell has them priced reasonably. As a matter of fact, the little hooks, with the 3" leads, I believe, are on sale. 3.99 each. I forget the price of the 2 and 5' tracks.
