help!! dented gas tank...

ok guys I just got a 2004 liquid silver r1... i ts in great shape the only thing is it has a ding in the top right corner of the gas tank.. they only made this color for one year so the gas tanks are hard to find used on ebay. I was wondering for a reasonable price who could bondo and match the paint on it.. a gas tank is about 500 - 600 on ebay so let me know who can match the paint and help me.. and if on the northside of houston that would be awesome

DW, get some body filler, fill the dent and prime the area. matching the paint is fairly easy, any of your local paint suppliers can easily and if they dont have the code they can get it. then you just need someone to shoot it. material wise you are lookin at close to $100 depending on the paint and if you use quality filler (not bondo) you can probably find someone to shoot it for about $50-$100 depending on if you know the painter good.

LOL What I meant was maybe find a black tank in those years and either rock the black tank or get it repainted.

Also check www.r1-forum.com

Introduce yourself and see if there are any deals out there.

Remember the tank has two layers to protect it. that's gonna require a little finesse. Check out our sponsor. Otherwise as mentioned... call it 'personality.'

yeah i dont really care if the dent is taken out.. I would like it bondoed (sp) and painted over.. thats going to be the cheapest way to go anyway.
