Later on the trip back my battery died and i couldnt get the bike to start anymore so i got stranded again for another 4 hours until i could get a tow truck to take to the shop. I payed 100$ and got a part that had somehow burnt up and 2 weeks after being home got hit by a truck. Worst bike ever. I sold it to mystical lol, be SAFE.

If you have to ride it back drive slow and gas up alot.

wtf, thanks alot. What burnt up?

speaking of trailering bikes....i need to pick up a bike in tulsa, OK next weekend....Anybody going or comming from that way? I doubt it.

Anyways, my question is can you safely transport a bike in a compact pickup bed? with tiedowns? I am thinking of renting a pickup for the weekend, but they (enterprise) only has compact pickups for rent. Any suggestions? tia.

there is a certain amount of mielage you can put on a rental pickup ... so double check that it may end up costing you more then the bike....

mileage is unlimited if you stay in TX, OK, or LA....so that is not a problem. My car can't tow a trailer, or i would simply rent a trailer. :(

The answer to your question is yes. You'll probably have to haul it with the tailgate down.

i have a 5 X 10 utility trailer u can use. taken both my bikes to the dragon and bike week in florida with it.
If it is only for a day or 2 u can just come get it and use it for nothing.
i also have plenty of tie straps and a canyon dancer if u want.
I live in la Porte
