our bikes have straight cut gears vs. cars that have helical cut gears.

18 wheelers also have staight cut gears and race cars if they have the money.

anyways, its okay, just do it properly. other application besides speed? resting your clutch hand on your leg and you need to upshift...

i can clutchless downshift but prefer 2-fingers on the clutch (sounds dirty).

I do both up and down without the clutch unless its hard downshifting, the other time I use a clutch is when I stop and start (tends to stall wihtout the clutch at lights)
