buying super sport is not a good idea for a first bike. doubly bad idea if buying new. i'm sure lots of people on here would suggest something used (and cheaper!) to learn on. something that won't bring tears to your eyes when you drop or lay it down. not to mention that a bike with +100 hp and a beginner are not a good combination. but if you've already made up your mind its pretty much over, at this point your looking for validation on the choice you have already made. to each their own tho

ride my neighbors harley cuz he doesnt ride it

depending on your riding skill (and if youve taken your MSF) you might wanna start with a smaller bike and move up gradually........IMO and according to your riding experience you posted on your profile.......

Get it. Everyone will say that but it's all on you. I bought a similar bike and was my first and have yet to have a scratch on it. If your personality is to show off and be a yahoo on the road, then you will lay it down really soon. If you are like me and just want to ride, improve your skill, leave crashes for dummies, and not trying to impress anybody, then GSX 600 is the right bike. Also, 600 is right if you are not planning on spending a boat load of money back to back on a bike. I'm riding mine until the wheels fall off. Or until I win one of those in the Stubbs raffle.

Good luck with whatever and keep the rubber side down.
