i love my scorpion, but its a tad on the heavy side. Ive tried on a shoe and man i couldnt get the thing on my head, and i know im not an xxl. The arai large was perfect for me, it will be my next lid for sure. But out of the two Scorpion is by far a better lid.

That's cause it'd made for your feet dummy.

But for real Shoei's run smaller than Scorpions. I wear a S in Shoei RF-1000 and a M in EXO-1000.

How much is your head worth to you? By the very best helmet you can. You want something that has a small shell, very light weight, good venting, and doesn't buffet when you turn your head.
Sorry for my newb-ish knowledge, but what is buffet?

Wind buffet. it's where your head gets blown around like a wind sock.

The scorp is the best helmet you can get for the price on the market today IMO. If you are looking for a 200 dollar helmet look no further.

That's the only helmet I have crashed in and I hit my head on the pavement going 40MPH and a big chunk of the helmet was missing.

The best part was I didnt even realize I hit my head until 3 days later when I picked up my helmet and noticed the big piece missing. I can't think of a better reason to buy the helmet then that.
