that route is nice but be aware of trucks with boats on them in the summer months. It is a dangerous route and there are plenty of accidents out there. I saw a man die on 1725. His helmet was strapped to the bike. At first we thought the helmet strap broke cause it did but the remaining part was still on the bike hook.

I love those roads - the east side of 45 is a lot less crowded and has some nice roads. I've had some rides where I didn't see another bike. My usual route since I'm south of Conroe is 45 to 242 east, north on Old Houston Road to 1485, north to Waukegan Rd. to 105, jog east to 1484, north to 3081, and then pick up 1725 down to Cleveland. From there I either go up 2025 to 945/156/946 and go to Coldspring or to the lake, or backtrack on 105 from 1725. 1725 is really nice - the part just north of 105 has some tight turns, and that's where the new place is someone mentioned earlier.

I bet a lot of people will find those roads once the track opens in Cleveland.

If you are around Coldspring go a little north on 156 to 224... well worth the extra few miles.
